In the eyes of the Lord we are all equal, all sinners. The only difference between us that the Lord sees, is whether or not we have Him inside our heart and soul. Are we like Zacchaeus who ran ahead of the crowd surrounding Jesus and found a tree to stand in or are we like the crowd members who whisper and murmur? A Heart that is hungry and seeks out the Lord will always find it. Our right to salvation is not tied up by anything except our capacity to repent. Israel missed out on so much of the blessings of the Lord. The Temple was beautiful and grand, yet co much of Israel lived in sin. Because of the wasting of the temple, it would be destroyed along with Jerusalem. Jesus broadcast his message across the Temple for 5 days as the corrupted religious leaders looked for ways to destroy Him. We must not give in to realms of Satan but resist the temptations. The religious leaders were power hungry and self righteous. Jesus couldn't be above them! We know from Christ that there is little we can do to change our standing. We are sinners. But do we love Him and have we repented? Repent for those sins and move forward with Christ as our guide.
