Bible Verse 7/15/24

Ezra 2:

Cyrus frees nearly 50,000 Israelites from slavery and sends them back on their way. There is little in this chapter except the listing of the people returning from captivity. Each man did go back to his original home. They sought out a priest with the right genealogy, yet one did not raise his hand. The Governor's (Zerubbabel) expectation was incorrect for the people returning were just that, people. There is nothing mentioned about the attitude of the people or the state of being they are in. Let alone the mention of their Faith in God. The next chapter must bring about all of these things. Restoration is a slow process and does not happen overnight. Have patience in our own lives to allow the Lord to work with us. Please Lord, restore your kingdom here on Earth.
