Israel needed prophets sent from the Lord to resume building the temple. How often are we like Israel in this sense? We do not worry about our Faith and work on ourselves, instead of working on our relationship with Him. I fall prey to this all to often. There is always work to be done. The Lord calls us to seek Him before all else. I would suggest we ALL start to move forward in this way. When we are doing God's work, we can press forward no matter what is beating us down or tearing at us from behind. He takes away all weakness and temptation! I think there is a nugget in here that is worth mining for... The Lord's people recite the issues of their forefathers to the governor of the westward lands from the Euphrates river. It is recited flawlessly (according to the Word). How can we base ourselves in Him if we don't know the Word? We must know our history before we can be considered learned. Studying the written Word is the only way to consume the history of God and what He has and will do with us. Reflect on what is learned. The Holy Spirit needs time to work in all of us. I pray He works in you.
