Ezra 10

Ezra was so concerned about the corruption of the bloodline to Christ that he called every able-bodied man to Jerusalem to be freed from the sin through true repentance. He recognized, with the help of the Holy Spirit, that doing this was a blight to God as marrying and procreating outside of Israel was against the Word. Had they not suffered enough the 70 years before this? It took 3 months to do this with every man. What a laborious process! Any task worth doing is not going to be accomplished in a matter of moments. When we serve the Lord, the problems He will have us tackle are much bigger than we realize at times. Personal growth to be closer to Him is the first thing we all must do. Let Him become your influence, not something else.
