Lamentations 2

Through a lack of repentance for Sin, Jerusalem actually became an adversary of God. HE was protecting them and guiding them through with blessings and Glory. Now, the Lord opens up all avenues of destruction and will limit nothing. Cities, temples, you name it, all destroyed. Israel had polluted the ideas of God and ruined them. There is no reason for us to do these things to the Word. Take the Word for what is said and let those words from the Word be your guide. When suffering enters the levels seen from the destruction guided by God, there is nothing left that is positive and good. 1 single person looking to the Lord for shelter would have changed this. Yet, Israel continued in its ways despite the warnings. Are we to continue in our sinful ways and open ourselves up to the wrath of God? Even if we repent, there is no justification for ignoring the things we know. Follow the Lord and the Word. Be stuck in HIS ways.
