Joshua 3

As Israel is instructed to cross the Jordan, they follow only the instruction of God. Follow the Ark of the Covenant but give it space. So that you may see its path and follow it but not come to close. This is how the Old Testament Faith worked. We could believe but the slaughter and sacrifice of animals only takes us so far. With the New Covenant of Jesus Christ, we are told to approach the Ark of the Covenant (God) as often as we desire. This separation between Old and New Covenants because of Jesus is our greatest gift. We have access to the Lord if we only desire it. The Lord separated the waters of the Jordan river to allow Israel through. The second time this people have been blessed by such a miracle. The miracles of life do not stop when we are with the Lord. Israel passed over right next to Jericho for the miracle to be seen by all and His power put on display. The mighty power of the Lord our God is beyond comprehension. Lord, bless us with small miracles every day and help us to stay in your presence as we move forward every day. Be the guide to our heart, soul, and mind. Stop and smell the Glory and Mercy of the Lord for around every corner there is more of his miracles, if we only look.
