Bible Verse 8/13/24

Joshua 5:

Israel's opposition had there fight taken out of them when they heard of the way Israel crossed the Jordan. To have a Lord so powerful that he can stop the Jordan river would be a mighty fearsome prospect for any opposition. We have exactly that! Satan will not give up the fight even though those men did not have the heart for it any longer. Just as Satan will always attempt to come and disrupt our lives. We must stay steadfast in the Lord knowing His power can defeat evil and allow us to overcome. There are 4 steps to victory as the rest of this verse plays out. Keep in mind, through Jesus Christ we are saved, however through this our Faith is strengthened. 1. The Death of self - circumcision (was not done by Israel in the wilderness). 2. Testimony of our full believe in Him. (Israel had Passover at Gilgal). 3. Feeding on the Word (Israel had corn (Grain) from the land instead of Manna from the Lord) (We are called to be instructed by the Word). 4. Subjection to Christ as Lord and Savior (Joshua and Israel took off his shoes when God told Him to as Israel came upon ground that is Holy). There is only defeat in the ways that are not of the Lord. Follow Him to receive victory beyond our wildest dreams.
