Romans 16

Paul opens with reference to a female deacon. So the Lord does deem it okay for women to serve. The scriptural battle over this may never be solved completely until Jesus joins us again. Paul calls the Romans to mark out false teachings and do away with them. False teachers do not serve the Lord, they serve themselves. Paul lifts up the name of the Lord and the great mystery the world had to solve (Who/What made us). Now that we know it is God, we can proclaim it to the world and give Him praise. We are only able to do this through Jesus Christ. He was the will of God, foretold in the old law, brought to life by the commandment of God, and made known to all men. The sacrifice of Christ will save an untold number of souls. We will meet them all one day.
