If we remain rooted in the Lord, He will assure that we stay on His path. If our roots leave His fertile ground we are subject to re-root ourselves in less fertile soil. There is no more fertile path than that of the Lord. It is the only path walked by God and by man. God leaves the path of the wicked but has a watchful eye over His path always! The Lord will not allow His creation to hurt us unless there is a reason for it. He makes the creation work for us moar often than not.
Verses 7 & 8 are the end of the chapter and all the things we as believers need to hear. 7 "The Lord shall preserve you from all evil, He shall preserve our soul." 8 " The Lord shall preserve your going out and your coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore." These 2 verse represent the promise from God that He will watch over us and protect us always. Our only requirement to meet our side of the promise is to trust in the Lord. Yet, I call all of us to go above trusting Him. Seek Him so He knows that we desire Him in our lives.
