Psalms 39

Psalms 39: As we have talked about, men are weak. We cannot keep a bridle on our mouth, not stop our eyes from wanting moar. Christ was the only man to do either of those things. Even more importantly, He was able to not use His power against His enemies.

Everybody catch that? Go read that again.

We are called to do the same! Do not use the power we have, but use the Grace and Mercy of God instead, just as Christ did. We live in vanity compared to Christ and without Him we would be destined for Hell.

Verse 7 asks the question, “what wait I for?” And answers with “My hope is in You.” This is the question every man must ask every day. And be given direction through prayer. Pray for strength to be even a little more like Him. For that is a leap and a bound from where we are today. Be lifted in His name.
