Since Adam fell from the Garden we have all been doomed by sin. Through Christ we are lifted up to be free from sin! This freedom only comes from giving ourselves up and giving it to the Lord. Confessing our sins to Him in their entirety. For when we sin, we sin against God. Even if the sin is also against others, the sin is also against Him. He can cleanse us from these sins, but only if we confess. "that the bones which You have broken may rejoice". Why would I highlight this verse? Because it is exactly the perfect fit into the message. The "bones" here are our sinless selves. If we have sinned and still carry it with us, God cannot heal us completely. When we confess our sins and hand them off the Lord, our "bones" are healed and made right with God. To continue in our journey with Him, we must continue to be healed in the Spirit! Without meeting God in confession and begging for His forgiveness, we can never have our "bones" put back together. We will forever be limping and hopping without the healing of our soul the Lord provides. Once we are repented souls, God is ready to use us for His purpose. If you are without "broken bones" I suggest you open the mirror and reflect on yourself. I have many bones that are broken. Yet, I need to break more. I must kill the old version of myself completely and free myself from the bondage of sin. I have to do this every day. For the pull of sin is strong and I am weak. So every day I restart with a fresh slate granted by God. But I must first kill the sinful version and break all of his "bones". Then through Christ, I can be healed and sent into the world for a new day with Him at the forefront.
