We need to be cautious of the things here on this earth that can trap us into the ways of sin. These are all traps of the devil. David asks a simple question to begin the chapter. "Why boastest thou yourself in mischief O mighty man? the goodness of God endures continually." This is a multi faceted attack against the traps of our world. Mischief from the tongue is a vacuum as our mouths are the quickest to react without our soul being able to intervene in time. "O mighty man" refers to how we should not view ourselves. We are imperfect in so many ways and all of our gifts come from God, not from ourselves and our achievements. Praise Him for what the human body and mind achieves, do not praise yourself. God will pluck these men of their dwelling and root you out of the land of the living. Is their any moar clarity needed as to how we are to act? Be as the green olive tree, or Christ is. Live forever in the name of the Lord, glorifying Him above all else.
