This verse drives home the point that God is all powerful over man and spirit. When we put our trust in the outcomes of our lives in ourselves and not in the Lord, we are destined to fail at whatever endeavor we attempt. We are called not to anger God for His wrath is like nothing this world truly knows, at least since Christ's death. Spoiled men who are stout of heart sleep and awaken unable to find their hands. God can removed all influence we have in a second as the "power" we have is only of men. His power is over everything, especially man, His greatest creation. What can you do today to make sure that God knows you are His child and not led astray by sin? How can you show the people around you that God's grace and mercy flows through you? Maybe most importantly, how can we be servants of the Lord and praise Him name? For that is exactly what we are called to do.
