it is easy to stray off the Lord’s path. As men the hardest task we have is to stay on the path of God. It is so easy to forget the Lord as we move through our lives. Don’t complain to the Lord for that is not part of Gods plan. We must search ourselves and our Spirit to truly reflect. The words in Verse 9 read “Has God forgotten to be gracious? Has He in His anger shut up His tender mercies? Selah.” If ever we find ourselves in a place where we are asking these questions we must turn around and get on our knees. We are doubting the Lord. We should never doubt the Almighty. Yet in verse 11&12 Asaph remembers the works of God in His self reflection. This is the fastest way to remove the doubts in God. Remembering the blessings we have. The Lord is almighty over the whole Earth. The wind and skies and seas. They all bow to his commands. As should we.
Verse 19 says "Your way is in the sea, and Your path in the great waters, and Your footsteps are not known.". This is a very special message. God leaves no footprints except in His Word. God's way is hard to follow for it is murky and the path is not clear. We are to do our best to follow to footsteps in the sea and swim through the great waters of our lives to find His path. Lord, help us to do this every day.
