Psalms 81

Music and Praise are the best ways to glorify God. Playing an instrument or singing does not matter, but if we do it for Him, it will bring Him Glory. Has anyone ever noticed how they are a better singer in church? I wonder why that could be? And yes, I sing loudly at church, even with my vocal limitations.

The Lord can fill our troughs as long as we continue to put Him first in our lives. As Israel has failed to sustain a relationship with God, we must do the opposite and have a relationship with Him that lasts forever. If we lose our relationship with God, He will leave us to our own counsel. This is terrifying for me because I remember clearly what it was like without God in my life. We will have a hard time finding our way without the help of the Holy Spirit. If we are with Him always, He will bless us beyond our wildest dreams.

As we celebrate Thanksgiving today, make sure we find all the things the Lord hath given us. What we have achieved is impossible without Him. Enjoy the day and give thanks to the Lord in Heaven.
