God gave Israel certain assignments as part of the blessings He gave them. Israel was called to be the judge of the world in the absence of The Most High. Often we judge others unjustly for the Lord did not give the job to judge others. Caring for the poor and needy also was one of the jobs given by God. Caring for them was more than just providing for them physically but also mentally. Removing the wicked influences from their lives. At this time, Israel did not know they walked in darkness. Oft we fall into this same trap. Lord helps us not be in the darkness and be awakened to your calling for us. Help us to not judge the world through our eyes but let you be the judge.
