This continues to be a book full of direction for our worship. Verse 1 says "O give thanks unto the Lord; call upon His Name". Verse 2 tells to sing unto Him. Our hearts will be rejoice when we seek the Lord. Seek Him, His strength, His love, and His face evermore. This is the thing we must do as man to overcome our struggles. Whatever things we believe because of man was already from God, as is everything in this world. Remember what He hath done to continue His Word and the promises He has made. The gift of the land of Canaan to Israel, still holds true and one day will be redeemed again. The Lord has never promised something and had that exact thing happen. That is what the vast majority of this chapter is. From Verse 6 to verse 45 the author (the Holy Spirit is always the author) give us examples of where the Lord kept his promises. From Israel to Egypt and Abraham to Moses. To the walls of Jericho to the breaking of the rock for water. With all of the promises that God has given His people, we should rejoice and "Praise ye the Lord", as the last sentence of this chapter states.
