Thus verse begins with the simple instruction we continue to get from all the Psalms. Praise the Lord and give Him thanks!! Any and all can do this, it is not limited who can give praise and thanks to God. He is welcoming to all for we are His children. There are none unworthy of His love. Our author admits that he along with his fathers have sinned. Because we all have sinned and will continue to do so. It is in our nature to be sinful as man.
Our author then goes through some examples of historic Israel and their shortfalls. The lack of faith in Egypt that kept them ensnared for so long there. The lack of faith in the desert and the calamities that brought forth. The mixing of Israel with Canaan and the evil and wickedness that came from that. We are then reminded how His everlasting love and grace saved Israel repeatedly in the name of His Covenant. The prayer at that end holds true today. Verse 47 & 48 Save us, O LORD our God, and gather us from among the nations, that we may give thanks to your holy name and glory in your praise. Blessed be the LORD, the God of Israel, from everlasting to everlasting! And let all the people say, "Amen!" Praise the LORD!”
Gather up of the believers and let us join together in giving Christ His glory. Together let us sing Your praises and admit our faults. Allow us all to open our hearts to you and turn the world into the glorious kingdom You so truly desire.
