Naomi was not rich. Or Ruth would not have needed to glean the edges of the field for grain, following the reaper by hand. There is little we can do to fix our situation, except to trust in Him. He will give us direction if our full Faith is in the Lord. Boaz, seeing Ruth work tirelessly to glean the field and her natural beauty, signifies to her that all of the field is hers. The young men are not to touch her, drink freely of my water and with my maidens. Be cared for here in spite of your background. Humility from Boaz here is what we see. This is a trait we all must aspire to gather. Through Him it is all possible.
Boaz continues to give the reapers of the grain more instructions to support Ruth. The corollary I draw is of how God provides for us when we follow Him. He is our Boaz, leaving grain behind for us to glean and blessing us with protection
And food and drink. When we are low, He raises us up. Do not be discouraged by the sadness of your situation. Be thankful for the struggles as Ruth is. With Faith in Him we will turn the page and come through deeper in Christ. Boaz tells Ruth to stay in his fields to glean. The Lord always tells us to stay in His fields as well. Harvest from the Blessed Savior His Grace and Mercy. Be not discouraged by the slow progress we may make but open our hearts to allow Him in.
