Do not judge others for then you shall be judged in accordance with your judgement. By any standard men judge, it is too strenuous to pass. Just as the old Law is. So, if we are judged by our own judgement, will we not fall short as well? Then who is there to salvage us from the wreckage of sin? (new favorite sin analogy) No one! Christ's sacrifice was a pass from His judgement, not from our own judgement. Do not be set back and fail in this, for it is vital we maintain ourselves in Him and His perfection. Be enveloped By Him so the stick that resides in our eye is the first thing we solve, not the mote in another's eye. That mote is only to be concerned when we have met perfection ourselves. Has any man outside of Christ himself met perfection's standards? Of course not, This is why we cannot judge others. For it is not our place, nor do we belong to the heights of the class that judges. For lowly man is not God.
Know that if we want desiring something from God, all that we must do is ask. He does answer our prayers but if we don't make those prayers, then He cannot answer. Doors will be opened to us, if only we ask. Seek Him and you shall find Him. When we do these things in the name of God, there is little that cannot be done for us. When we ask for selfish reasons, then we are destined for failure on our quest. The Lord's name and Faith in Him is the key to answered prayers. As parents give primarily good things to our children, does God not trump our gifts in levels untold? The Great Giver, if asked, will distribute His blessings over all who ask Him. But we must ask! Our prayer life needs to be strong and bonded to the Rock of Salvation. Without this bond, we will drift out to see and fall from the path of God.
Every man desires to be one of the "few" who are saved, yet even fewer yet realize this journey. The path to God is narrow and skinny is the gate. While the gate to hell is wide and the path is broad. The way of God is not the way of man. This depiction speaks so well to me as I have seen the broad path and wide gate. There is nothing there beyond this body and the selfish lusts of sin. The narrow gate has more to offer in every way. While it is harder in some cases it is easier in so many others. The Old Law is impossible to follow and we will wobble off the path. But hop back on through prayer and repentance. Treat every man as you want to be treated. How you treat others is a reflection on how you want to be treated and as we learned earlier, God has a reciprocal hand.
Be wary of a tree that has sour fruit. Not every tree is a tree of God. Some trees are from hell. These false prophets will sicken the land and bear no fruit. This is how we tell the good from the evil. The fruit of a tree of Christ will have much fruit. A tree from hell will bear no fruit or fruit that is sour. Chop down the tree with no fruit and sour fruit and burn it in the gates of hell where it once came. Seek the purity of Christ around you and push temptation away. Ask God for the wisdom to know what it is bad fruit and the strength to resist it. Deny ourselves as not good enough. We fall short always. The only true way to accept Christ is to deny ourselves. We do not have the power to move mountains or separate waters. But through Him we have eternal glory. Stand on the rock of Christ and build upon it. For the only safe place to reside without sin and temptation is on the Rock of Christ.
