When Jesus left the Temple and saw its beauty, “There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.” - Verse 2. Jesus is predicting the destruction of the Temple and of Jerusalem.
When the disciples and Jesus had receded to the Mount of Olives, the disciples asked Him privately, “When shall these things be? And what shall be the sign of Your coming? And of the end of the world?” - Verse 3. The answer here is very direct. The world will be at war or nearly at war with itself. No nation will be privy to avoiding it. Famines, pestilence, & earthquakes all over the globe. Nowhere will be safe from the carnage. We are to hold fast to Christ through the carnage and not be deceived the devil and his servants. Deception is the greatest tool the anti christ has against us. “But he who shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.” - Verse 13. The Great Tribulation will be the hardest time for man. Deception and temptation around every corner. We are to hold our God higher than ever in these times and trust only in Him. Be guided today and forever by the Holy Spirit to avoid the deception and peril of our lives.
The arrival of Christ the second time will be earth and heaven shaking. The Light He will give off will be brighter than the moon and the sun. The stars will fall from the sky. All shall see Him descend on the Earth. None will be spared the knowledge that Christ is come. This is why the deception from earlier is so obvious. When Christ does return, we will know it. The angels will come down and blow their trumpets and gather His people all over the Earth.
Israel will not understand that their Savior is coming. Only the true believers will understand this. The wicked will perish and burn in hell along with Satan when the Lord returns. They will be treated the same as the people of Earth when Noah build the ark. Drowned and cast off into the depths of hell. Get on the Ark of Christ now and ride it to freedom at His return.
Not all do the church will be saved. Some of them will abandon their weak faith and turn over to the evil in their hearts. Turn ourselves over to Christ so the evil in hearts is taken away and overrun by the Holy Spirit. Be a servant of God and He will give you the blessings you deserve.
