Moses is given instruction inside the tabernacle of how offerings are to given to the Lord to atone for our sins. The animal that is to be killed in our place was perfect and new. A new bull calf, be it from cattle or goat or sheep. Even from pigeons baby turtle doves. Innocent lives to be burnt as a sacrifice so Israel could atone for its sins. Very particular instructions are given on exactly what to do with each part of the animal and how it was to be done. Each branch of animals is treated slightly differently as they are not equal. However, the Lord our God accepted every sacrifice as equal. Just as every man and woman are somewhat different in the lives they lived, God treats us all equally when we attempt to enter the Kingdom. We are lucky enough to have Jesus be our sacrifice. He was slain on the altar (The Cross) to be our perfect sacrifice. We should be eternally grateful for the safety and protection of Christ we are granted as we move forward in our lives. Christ’s atonement for our sins was directly to God and God alone values the sacrifice, especially at the time. There is much we cannot gather from our studies about what the Cross means to God. But one day He will open our eyes to all of His mysteries. Bless our time until we are with you forever.
