Moses washed the Priests with water. By every step from God to enjoy the purity of the Lord. This could be the first baptism! Blessed and instructed wholly by God, how wonderful Moses must have felt being that close to God. Moses dressed the Priests with the clothing. This is another ritual with symbolism buried throughout. The clothing has embodiment to the Christ and the Holy Spirit. It was their service armor. Instead of the armor of God The Lord gives us in the New Testament, these are the clothes of servitude. Done in the way of God, for God, by God's instructions. Aaron in particular was anointed with oil and sanctified by Moses. Aaron and his sons (the priests) now continued on the Sin Offering path with the bullock as their charge. Then they made a burnt offering with Moses as their priest. This was to confirm Aaron and his sons (the priests) as men of God through God's vessel, Moses. First to cleanse them of their sin, second to recognize the Lord and as pure and holy, now they consecrate a ram to be sanctified in His name. Aaron and the priests are the treated the same by God as the lowest man in Israel, this is Moses is serving them here. All are the same in the eyes of the Lord. Aaron was anointed again in oil. This symbolizes the ongoing battle of our faith to be constantly earning for God. We must give ourselves and our hearts and souls to God to be in the same house as Moses and Aaron. The food for these men was burnt and made on the altar and approved by God. Any remaining food shall be burnt to God. This signifies how we are to go to God. He demands we take in all of Him, there is no partial are we are partial, which is empty. Begun full of the entirety of the Triumvirate. Any that you receive that is beyond your fill give to others or give back to God. Do not deviate from the Lord or we will surely die (if we don't return). Aaron and his sons stayed at the Tabernacle for seven days as a test of their faith and to finish their consecration. What have we done to test ourselves in His name? What sacrifice have we given to God that makes us worthy? Do not fret, He will call us when He is ready for us to serve.
