Paul sent Timothy to Thessalonica to help aid the Faith of the Thessalonians. They were doing great, but Paul knew they needed encouragement and more teaching. We are much like the Thessalonians. Our learning of the gospel is never complete. We should welcome the help of others into our journey. God sends people to aid us! We all will face obstacles to our Faith and Paul is trying to encourage them to remain true to the Cross. Do not be discouraged by the shortcomings of the world or of yourself. For that little matters. Embrace the heavens be God’s glory and your life will be fulfilled.
Timothy upon His return reported how positive things were in Thessalonica. Paul was overjoyed and comforted by the news. Are we likewise comforted and joyful of believers coming to the spirit? Paul also give thanks to God for the keeping the Thessalonians on the right path. He give all the glory to God and not to himself or to Timothy. Which is where it belongs. Do not take the glory for yourself. It does not belong to you.
Through Christ alone is our relationship with God possible. Our salvation would not be possible without Christ. Allow the Love of the Trinity to permeate your heart and allow you to love all people. Strengthen our resolve in you and let us be strong in you.
