Bible Verse Synopsis 4-25-25
Nehemiah 7:
Nehemiah begins his preparation to return to Persia. He turns over control of Jerusalem to 2 men. Each in turn receiving half. They each were blessed with this to help keep each other in check and primarily because of their strong faith in God. The rewards of the kingdom will come to us in the same ways and for the same reasons! Our faith is the ticket to eternal life through Jesus Christ and the Father.
The external part of Jerusalem had been rebuilt, but the inner part of the city was yet to restored. The lack of inhabitants and lack of order limited this. Nehemiah gave guidance as to how the hours of business and of how to protect the city. Over time these laws would guide Jerusalem back to prosperity and fulfillment of God’s promises.
We are given a reconcile of the peoples in Jerusalem who are there now and to rebuild the remainder of the city. They have graciously and with their hearts. Their hearts were full of God and it shows based on their giving. Does Gos work through us like it worked through the Israelites?
