This chapter opens exactly the same as every other. “The Lord spoke unto Moses, saying”. The totality of this statement shows us that all of this book is written by God through Moses. Moses is the vessel for the Lord. Any thing other than the Word was wrong in Moses’s transcription. Man was not here except in reference to. We are to not deviate from the Word. A very hard task indeed.
In the same vain, we are to meet the Lord our God where He is, not where we want. Israel was supposed to meet Him at the Brazen Altar in the Temple, we are to meet God at the Cross. Anything done or seeker out outside of this parameter is our heart not truly seeking Him. Go to God where He is. Not where you are. It is mentioned three times throughout the verses 1-9. With that level of frequency, our Lord is telling us something.
We are given the instructions not to eat the blood of man or beast. For blood is the life of the soul. The soul of the flesh is the blood. Whosoever eats the blood will be cast off. This is a major offense in the eyes of God. Sin is what holds us back. We are to follow His Word and be lifted up by the message of salvation. Listen to His Word and He will show us the path that we are to follow. Give thanks for the opportunities we have.
