In this Chapter we meet an aged man named Caleb. He once Moses some 45 or more years ago. In this service Caleb was overcome by Divine Faith. There is nothing that could shake his ground. A Divine Faith led Caleb to receive his inheritance and to cast out those occupying it, even in an advanced age (85). He renamed his city Hebron, meaning friendship. Caleb received this inheritance because of his complete commitment to God. Are we as committed as Caleb was? Where can our commitment be improved? He knows we fall short. Why would we allow ourselves to continuously fall short when doing better is only a prayer away.
