None of us are perfect and neither was David. He admits his wrongs to the Lord and the then asks for His help. Asking for forgiveness first is a crucial part in our journey with Christ. He will answer our calls for help if this is how we begin our prayers with Him.

Every sin is a new edge on God’s sword of judgement if we do not repent. Do not be as the enemies are and fall victim to this blade. Look to the wielder and Praise His name just as David does. Bless the glory of His name and his influence in our lives. Put Him first foremost and worship Him any and everywhere.
