When we pray it is meant to be heard by all. Prayer is so powerful and we must treat it with the utmost respect it deservers. It is through prayer that God speaks to us. David in this psalm is giving us a directive of how to pray. Direct statements with purpose and no hidden meanings. Be persistent and strong in your beliefs to hear the answers from Him. Make sure we ask Him to keep us on the straight and narrow. This must be part of our prayers. For men are weak without Him and once we lose our footing the other routes are there to suck us in. Be a beacon for the Lord in the dark of the world. Men and Satan bring darkness and pain with them everywhere they go. Bring light and Glory with you to combat the weakness of the rest of us. Light easily overcomes darkness. Shine your Light for all to see. Verse 15 is the wonderful ending to the verse. " As for me, I will behold Your face in righteousness: I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with Your likeness." God, help us to follow this directive and be MOAR like you.
