Paul tells us to set our gaze on things from the Lord, not things from man. This should be obvious but I think its important to remember what Christ gives us and what is from man. As we accept our Faith, we must put off the things of old, the things of man. Then, once we have completed this, we can put on the new things, the renewed through Christ the Lord. Let love and Peace rule over your body and be not troubled by the toils of mankind.
We are called to not provoke our children into anger or fear. Use love and compassion and praise instead! As we serve the Lord in this manner we must remember how much he served for us. Our sacrifices are nothing on the grand scheme of things. Instead of praising ourselves for the work we do, look outwardly and thank Him for all that He allows us to do. Ask for direction in how to serve Him more. There is something about service that fulfills the heart. Remember that every action we take should be taken as if it were directed at Him. Does that change your perspective on your behavior? (I'm in trouble)
