This chapter is only 3 verses long. Yet, there is much in here to digest if we read with Him in mind. The first verse speaks to the thing that is so hard to come by, especially in todays world. Humility. God tells us to be humble ourselves. We can never do this perfectly. If we hold tight to the Word and give Him the Glory for the things we achieve, then it will be much easier to be humble! If I never accomplish anything on my own how can I be proud? The Lord completed this task and I am but His tool or instrument to complete it. With this viewpoint, humility will come easily and that is something we should strive for.
When the Lord does return, Israel should act a weaned child and bow down to His Glory and Majesty. Not just Israel but the whole world. In the meantime, quiet yourself and be calmed by knowing that Jesus is King and will be King again. Allow the perfection of Christ in His sacrifice wash over you so you may feel His power. He will bring peace to the world and quiet our worries.
